Lint Dark Orange Intense

July 20, 2010

I’ve always wanted to try Link Dark orange Intense because I do so love orange in chocolate and dark chocolate is so yum. The first thing thing I see is the wrapper (Of course!) It’s a really nice wrapper. The gold writing of the word “Lint” really makes it stand out and I love the picture so top marks on that. On the side of the packet it  says that it has nuts inside. Hmmmm… orange and nuts well that’s…………….  interesting.

Now for the most important part, the taste. As I bite I first taste the dark chocolate. It is absolutely gorgeous! Just the right amount of dark!! The second thing I taste is the nuts,  they are kinda soft….how is that even possible?  Then I finally taste the orange…but barely. Seriously I can hardly taste it at all. Bit of a let down. The orange I can taste is really good so it makes me sad that it’s not stronger. Okay overall but I don’t think I would buy it again. Worth you having a try of it though.

What kind of chocolate do you like?

August 6, 2009

So sorry I haven’t posted in a while, now that schools started I’ve been sort of busy. So what’s your fav kind of chocolate? Me? I like normal milk or dark, I’m not a huge fan of white chocolate but I will try anything.

OK, I don’t really expect anyone to vote “I HATE chocolate” but I allowed  the answer anyway because Hey, not everyone can like chocolate. Please vote!

Cadbury’s caramello koala

August 2, 2009

Today I’m going to review some thing simple, a caramello koala, my aunties favourite : )

Picture 170

This sweet treat is brightly coloured and eye catching, featuring a red koala on the packet just like the freddo on the freddo frog packets. I open it and I see the shape of a koala with smooth shiny chocolate, it looks good. I bite down the chocolate is smooth and not grainy like the last chocolate I reviewed but the caramel is VERY VERY sticky and gets all over my hands and face, good thing it tastes good. I enjoyed this but felt it was missing something, another element was possibly  requied, but overall it was very good.

Hershey’s Milk Duds

August 1, 2009

Picture 166

So I bought these chocolate things and the first thing I thought was “what the heck are these?” they had no picture and no explanation to what they were except some small writing that said “chocolate and caramel” That could mean anything, a bar of chocolate with caramel, pieces of chocolate covered Carmel or something completely different. I decided not to put it off any longer and open the packet. I see these rough misshapen balls of chocolate (and, i guessed caramel on the inside) that looked like brown rocks, not very pretty. I hoped it would taste better then it looked, No, they did not. What I first got when I tasted it was this low-quality and very grainy chocolate…not a good start, then (as bite down) I get this sickly and so VERY stickey caramel that  glued my teeth together, after just two of these horrible carmel rocks i start to feel sick. I don’t really think I will buy this again, and I don’t recommend it.

Darrell lea chocolate honey comb

July 31, 2009

This is Darrell lea chocolate honey comb, which is honey comb covered in milk chocolate I’ve have a good experience with Darrel lea s let’s hope they don’t disappoint me.

Picture 160

OK so I opened it and it didn’t look too good, A bit rough and crumbly not the smooth shiny texture  I was looking for but it smelt good so I took a big bite. The chocolate was rather average but the honeycomb was light and crumbly but not to the extent that it fell apart, it was melting in my mouth but not leaving that salty taste that some honeycomb chocolates have and was not too hard. Would I want this again? The answer is yes, it’s definitely on the up side.
